BIO:

My name is Douglas Mundorff and I have resided in Arizona for almost 30 years now. An education in Mechanical Design and Engineering Physics set me towards a career in Engineering and Management for most of my life. Sometimes life can take us in directions beyond our control. When this happened to me, I decided to focus on moving forward with my life's dream of becoming a professional artist. The Artistic Gene runs in my family with my grandfather making a living as an artist during mid 20th century.

I have always had an interest in the visual arts beginning as a child creating non representational abstract art pieces. Later in life I have been drawn to the Modern Artists of the late 19th and early 20th century's such as Mondrian, Kandinsky, and Klee.

I have enjoyed creating commissioned art working with my customers to provide pieces that fit there concepts and environment.

My current artistic focus lies mostly in Brutalist and Early/Mid Century Sculpture although I am being drawn back to Abstract painting and drawing.
